A LITTLE ABOUT ME...

I'm Deane Christiansen, owner of Deane Beesley Designs. I'm a licensed artist, illustrator and educator living in Alberta, Canada.

Over the past few years I have been fortunate to license my artwork for products such as fabric, stationery, wall decor and bedding, to name a few. I also sell my artwork online as prints and note cards.

My distinctive watercolor style is what sets me apart from others and I love to help, support and encourage other fellow artists to explore and uncover their own unique style.

This week I show you how I paint my poppies and lavender. Then we put them together in a beautiful bouquet!

WEEK 2 - FALL
My favourite season has us exploring and painting sunflowers, leaves and berries and arranging them in a stunning wreath!

WEEK 3 - WINTER
This week we practice painting poinsettias, pinecones and branches to create a centerpiece arrangement!

WEEK 4 - SPRING
Peonies and sweet peas are on this week's agenda and we'll put them together in a pretty composition.

In this lesson I show you my approach to painting florals and leaves. The basic strokes I use and how I achieve a loose feel.
